Warranty & Registration
Register an eligible TAA fishing rod or submit a claim for a suspected manufacturing, material or workmanship fault.
The TAA Limited Rod Warranty is a voluntary commercial warranty provided by The Amateur Angler Ltd trading as TAA Fishing.
The warranty is additional to your statutory consumer rights and does not replace or restrict them.
The warranty period varies between eligible TAA fishing rods. The duration, commencement date and expiry date applicable to your particular registered rod will be clearly stated on your individual TAA Warranty Certificate.
Register Your TAA Fishing Rod
If you have purchased an eligible TAA-branded fishing rod, use the form below to register it for the applicable TAA Limited Rod Warranty.
Where registration is required, registration should normally be completed within 30 days of delivery, or within 30 days of collection where the rod was collected.
If you purchased your rod directly from TAA Fishing, you will normally need the unique registration code associated with your purchase.
After completing the first registration stage, you may receive a separate verification code. Where a verification code is issued, it will normally remain valid for 48 hours.
Registration is complete only after the required registration and verification steps have been successfully completed and your TAA Warranty Certificate has been issued.
If you purchased your rod from an independent TAA stockist, please see the stockist-registration rules in our TAA Limited Rod Warranty Terms.
Step 1: Register your rod
Enter your rod serial number, the registration code supplied by TAA and the billing email on the order. Retailer and missing-code cases need manual assistance.
By submitting the registration form, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have read the applicable Rod Registration & Warranty Terms
Your Warranty Certificate
Following successful registration, a TAA Warranty Certificate will be issued for your rod.
Please retain the certificate carefully. It records the individual warranty applicable to your rod, including the registered rod details, applicable warranty duration, commencement date and expiry date.
Because warranty periods vary between TAA rods, the Warranty Certificate is the primary record of the warranty period applicable to your particular registered rod.
Registration and possession of a Warranty Certificate do not mean that every future instance of damage, breakage or failure is automatically covered. Claims remain subject to the applicable warranty terms and assessment of the circumstances.
Has Your Rod Arrived Damaged?
If your fishing rod arrived physically broken, cracked, crushed, bent or otherwise damaged during delivery, please do not use the warranty claim form below.
Delivery damage should be reported through our Returns & Cancellations page.
You should also use the normal Returns process if you received the wrong rod, an incomplete order or simply wish to make an eligible change-of-mind return.
Further information is available in our Returns Policy and Shipping Policy.
Fishing Rod Fault / Warranty Claim Form
Use the form below where your TAA fishing rod has developed, or appears to contain, a suspected manufacturing, material or workmanship fault after delivery.
Please retain the rod, all affected rod sections and any broken components while the claim is being investigated.
We may reasonably ask for photographs, video, serial-number information, purchase information and details about how and when the issue occurred.
The fact that a rod has broken, cracked or otherwise failed does not by itself establish the cause of the failure. Claims are assessed according to the circumstances, available evidence and the applicable warranty and statutory rules.
Submitting a claim does not itself mean that TAA Fishing has accepted that a manufacturing, material or workmanship defect exists or that a particular remedy is due.
Make a warranty claim
Use this form only for a fault with a registered rod. Unwanted/change-of-mind items belong in the separate Returns service, not this warranty claim form.
All warranty claims must be submitted through this online form. For questions, contact info@taafishing.com.
By submitting the claim form, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and acknowledge that the applicable Fishing Rod Warranty & Claim Terms apply to assessment of the commercial-warranty claim.
Do Not Send a Rod Until We Ask You To
Please do not send a fishing rod, rod section or broken component to TAA Fishing unless we have asked you to do so.
Where physical inspection is required, we will provide the appropriate instructions.
This helps prevent unnecessary shipping costs, incorrect routing and further damage during transport.
International customers should contact us before independently arranging an expensive international return.
About the TAA Limited Rod Warranty
The TAA Limited Rod Warranty covers eligible manufacturing, material or workmanship defects during the warranty period applicable to the particular registered rod.
The warranty duration is not the same for every TAA fishing rod. The duration, commencement date and expiry date applying to your rod will therefore be stated on your individual Warranty Certificate.
The commercial warranty does not cover damage to the extent that the damage was caused by circumstances outside its scope, such as accidental impact, crushing, misuse, inappropriate loading, use outside stated specifications, unauthorised alteration or ordinary wear.
Full details are contained in our TAA Limited Rod Warranty Terms.
Your Statutory Rights
The TAA Limited Rod Warranty is additional to your statutory consumer rights.
If you purchased your rod directly from TAA Fishing, any applicable statutory rights arising from that sale may be exercised against The Amateur Angler Ltd.
If you purchased the rod from an independent stockist, statutory rights arising from that sales contract ordinarily remain against the stockist which sold the rod to you.
Failure to qualify for or register a voluntary commercial warranty does not remove statutory consumer rights which otherwise apply.
